WBA may have lost at Arsenal on the opening weekend of the season but look a fair price at 2/1 to bounce back with 3 points against Everton, who lost to Blackburn last week. Aston Villa will be banker material for many at 5/6 with Skybet after last weeks contrasting result's; Villa thrashing Man City and Stoke losing 3-0 at Bolton.

Paddy Power thought so much of Stoke's defeat they are already paying out on anyone who backed the newly promoted team from The Potteriers to make an instant return to The Championship! This is a bit harsh before they have played ther first home game though.

Blackburn will also be popular at 4/6 to beat Hull who got off to a flyer beating Fulham. Their trip to Ewood Park will be a far tougher test.

West Ham look a decent bet at 11/5 with Corals to win at Manchester City in Sunday's live 4pm match on Sky while Chelsea are top price 4/9 against Wigan who are available at 15/2 in the lunchtime televised game.

Defending Champions Manchester United are 8/11 to win at Fratton Park on Monday with FA Cup Winners Pompey 9/2. The two sides drew 1/1 in this fixture early last season and also drew over 90 mins in recent Community Shield match at Wembley. Another draw here looks fair value at 5/2.

The bookies may have overreacted by knocking United out to 9/4 to defend their title after last weekends suprise 1-1 draw against Newcastle at Old Trafford.

If QPR are to be serious Championship contenders this season beating sides like Doncaster at home is a must so take the 1O/11 with Corals while Crystal Palace look a solid wager at 4/5 with Blue Square to beat Burnley at Selhust Park.

In Division 1 I fancy the big two Leeds at 5/4 to win at Yeovil and Leicester at 4/6 to beat Tranmere at home.

In Scotland Dundee United, who got a great point against Celtic last week look overpriced at 2/1 to win at Motherwell, while in Division 1 Dunfermline look the weekend's banker bet at 8/13 to beat Airdrie and are a fair price at 13/2 for title.

Ayr at 5/4 to win at Stirling Albion and Brechin at 6/4 to win at Queens Park look two decent away wagers in Division 2.

York City at 7/5 look a value play in their Blue Square Premier clash, in a division that looks wide open this season.
